Just one of them weeks..............
Have you ever had a week that you just wanted to drop dead? Well that was my week this week. Here is a brief Synopsis:
Monday: Doctor's Appointment, she changes some of my meds and I have to get blood work done, damn vampires!!! Got that done, Donnie was off work so we got some running done, went home allis right in the Combs World!
Tuesday: 7:20 a.m., or as I call it the butt crack of dawn. Doctor's office calls and wants me in. Well I cannot make it in because Donnie is working that day, so they schedule the appointment for Thursday at 3:20.
Wednesday: Worry about Doctor's appointment and tackle the never ending mountain of laundry. We are either the dirtiest people or the cleanest, I have yet to figure this one out.
Thursday: Go to Doctor's appointment. Well the old blood sugar is over 300, well 335 to be exact. Cholesteral is at 215 not too bad could be lower. But my Triglycerides are over 700, doctor says I am asking for a case of Pancreatitis to occur. I other words I have to get this down or I am gonna be really sick or dead, one of the 2. So I get new meds, Avandia for the diabetes, blood monitoring kit the whole smear. and in 2 weeks on the 14th of may a whole 40 minute appointment with her for the whole shebang.
Friday: Started my regime
I do not know what is gonna be worse, No Mountain Dew or no smoking, gotta quit both of them. Oh well if it helps me live to be 80 I guess Iam gonna have to do it.

My 2 Cents on Imus and the Remark
Okay but first without Further Ado, today's kitty: Ain't it CUTE!!!
Okay All this mess with Don Imus and the remark he made on his radio show. First things first, I DO NOT CONDONE WHAT HE SAID! I beleive, he really put his foot in his mouth and really needs to chew on this one for awhile. BUT..... What ever happened to free speech!?!? Yes I do agree that what you say can have repercussions on you. Now this man has lost his job because of this, is this right??? That is all I gotta say about that!
Bad storms here yesterday, at least no tornados like the first of March in this area. But we do need the rain, so I will not complain about that. But First part of the week, we are running the AC, tonight we will be running the heat?? WTH?? I think Mother Nature is in need of Prozac, cuz she done lost her bean this spring!!!

Still looking at houses. We have gone from already bulit to looking at Modular Houses. Lord have they changed. They really look like a real house now and not a box that you can live in. Oh the choices!!!!
New season of the Deadliest Catch is now on Discovery channel. I am more addicted than ever to this show. If you have never heard of it here is a brief synopsis. They film real life Crab boats in Alaska. How they live aboard ship, make their catch and other interesting things. The neat thing about it is you really get up close and personal with the crews. Check it out Tuesday nights at 9 pm eastern on the Discovery Channel.
Today is the end of Keeping Memories Alive Top Scrapper Challenge. Yes I entered, Am I gonna win??? I doubt it very seriously but at least I tried. Well find out later today. will try to update tomorrow.

House Hunting 101
Presenting the cat of the day!Looking for a home to purchase is pretty much wearing Don and I to a frazzle. This would be our first home purchase and last, if I can help it. You see being in the military you move constantly. New duty station and you might have to move into an apartment first before you can get housing. Then when housing opens up you have to move on post! Move, Move, Move, and Move!!!
Since we have "Retired" and moved back to Alabama, this is it. We are looking for the last home for the rest of our lives. NO MORE MOVING!!! We are planting the roots of the Combs Family!! This house has got to be perfect or near perfect. I do not think there is a house out there that is perfect. We have been looking since January and we have seen so many houses, I dream of them!!!
But we have been narrowing down the choices.
- Has to be in the country, no city livin here.
- Must have 3 bedrroms and 2 baths, minimum! Got to have room for the scrapping and the computering.
- Must have fenced backyard for the Tater and Pitiful.
- No open floor plan! I do not want a guest walking through the front door of our house and Hello there is my kitchen. Nope not gonna work there!
- Must have a carport, garage would be nicer but not a requirement for purchase.
- MUST HAVE CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING! You cannot live in the South with it this important item. Unless you wanna just roast your buns off!!
SO there ya have it. Just our simple needs in 6 lines, well besides all the rest of the stuff ya get in a house.
House hunting will begin again Saturday. Don is off, so off we go in the car to look and walk, and look and walk. Well you get the idea!
